Q1. Is Epic Tree a freelancer or a design agency?
Epic Tree operates as a senior designer-led hybrid model. Projects can be handled directly by Sion Chan as a UI/UX Design Freelancer, or expanded into a design team when needed.
Q2. What types of projects or companies are suitable?
We work with projects of all kinds — whether you’re building from scratch, improving, or redesigning a website, app, or internal system. Startups, growing companies, and larger organisations are all welcome. We’re especially well-suited for projects that need flexible scope, fluctuating workloads, or clear goals around increasing enquiries, conversions, or operational efficiency.
Q3. How do you ensure the design actually delivers results?
We start by defining clear business metrics with you (such as enquiry rate, conversion rate, or task completion rate). We then use data tracking to verify whether the design is producing real results, and use those insights to guide further optimisation.
Q4. What deliverables will I receive at the end?
There is no fixed list of deliverables — it depends on the project needs. Typical outputs include Figma files, prototypes, Design Systems, and developer handoff specs. When required, we can also build and deliver complete websites in Webflow.
Q5. Is there a limit on the number of revisions?
No. Because we work with flexible scope and bill by Man-Day, revisions are simply counted as part of the actual time spent. There’s no need to lock in a fixed number of revision rounds upfront.
Q6. How does pricing work?
Before starting, we provide an initial Man-Day estimate based on the scope and collect around 50% as a pre-payment. Each month we share a timesheet and deduct from the pre-payment first. Once the pre-payment is used up, the remaining Man-Days are invoiced at the end of the month.
